Principal Developer Java

Title: Principal Java Developer Duration: 6 month contract, great chance of converting permanently Location: 3 days onsite in either Richmond, VA or Chicago, IL Job Description: Multiple Programming Languages including GoLang, Java Amazon Web Services – Lambda, EMR, ECS, Step Functions, SNS etc. Containerization using Docker, ECS and Fargate Kafka Streaming framework Open source frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot Automated Test Suite for Unit, End-to-End & Performance tests CICD Pipeline using Jenkins and Enterprise tools Monitoring using Splunk, CloudWatch, DataDog and NewRelic OneLake, Snowflake, DataBricks Call Notes: Would prefer some Go / GoLang experience, if not Go / Golang, Java will work BUT the manager will selected Go / Golang experience over a Java Developer!!!! Would consider a former cap one contractor, who would like to learn Golang. Would also consider non-convertible former cap one contractors as well. LOB: Card Tech- team has a tech lead, principal associate and 2 Sr associates. Will join as a principal associate level, more production vs operational support. Programs are collaborative, teams work tightly together, sharing knowledge / what is being delivered / communicate with stakeholders. New development and enhancement work Role will be through March 2024 Location: Chicago, IL / hybrid 3 days a week, would consider Richmond and McLean if not local. Only submit W2 candidates, who can convert. Project where they have a few business apps in portfolio they are building / maintaining- Java / Spring boto service layer. Fix vulnerabilities / production support / tight SLAs to keep those services up and running. Java / Lambda / EMR / ECS / SNS / SQS / general AWS knowledge Ability / knowledge on Docker, ECS, Fargate Kafka streaming Write test. CI/CD, Jenkins Would prefer GoLang, 1-2 yrs of exp Interview: conversation, learning about the candidates experience, talk through some problems / scenarios Job Type: Contract Pay: $75.00 - $85.00 per hour Ability to commute/relocate: North Chicago, IL 60064: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Experience: Java: 10 years (Required) AWS: 5 years (Preferred) Work Location: In person
