Company DescriptionFinal Victory Animal Rescue, based in West Columbia, SC, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to giving cats and dogs a second chance after challenging experiences in shelters, neglected homes, or on the streets. Through its facility, foster network, volunteer efforts, and transport partnerships, the organization works tirelessly to place animals in loving and safe homes. Final Victory Animal Rescue helps pets find their "final victories" not only in South Carolina but throughout the East Coast.Role DescriptionThis is a part-time remote role for a Nonprofit Bookkeeper. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and overseeing day-to-day bookkeeping activities. Additional responsibilities include recording journal entries and maintaining accuracy in accounting software to support the organization's financial operations.QualificationsRequiredMinimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a nonprofit environmentProficiency in QuickBooks Online or equivalent accounting softwareStrong understanding of nonprofit fund accounting principlesHigh degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and integrityAbility to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and donor informationExcellent organizational and time management skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsPreferredAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldExperience with Form 990 preparation supportFamiliarity with donor management platforms (e.g., DonorPerfect, Bloomerang, or similar)Passion for animal welfare and mission-driven workReporting StructureThis position is an employee of Final Victory Animal Rescue and reports directly to the Executive Director and Founder.
