The Role:
We are looking for our next Manufacturing Excellence Performance Manager within our Americas Manufacturing Team. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this person will be responsible for developing and executing on the short term and long-term performance excellence and continuous improvement strategy for the Keokuk Plant
In addition, the ME Performance Manager will be responsible for maximizing performance improvement and cost savings by proactively identifying areas for improvement, managing lean initiatives and projects, utilizing lean tools and techniques, analyzing and reporting key metrics, communicating Manufacturing Excellence activities and training employees to accomplish the same.

What You’ll Do:
Coach and mentor the different Production Unit Leaders and Engineers to make performance excellence the way of working
Align with strategic objectives for the Plant, execute and manage the cost savings program for the site
Drive teams using strong performance excellence system tools and methodologies
Ensure that cross-functional teams use problem-solving initiatives utilizing performance excellence and continuous improvement tools, such as, GEMBA, DMAIC and etc…
Serve as the subject matter authority in identifying losses, cost savings, colleague development, process improvements and work culture through the use of performance excellence
Ensuring standardization of the provided tools and methodologies in compliance with Global Manufacturing Excellence team
Ensuring transparency and accountability through the robust tracking and reporting of cost and savings models, and delivering on expected savings at the site level
What You’ll Need:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Experience:
5+ years of experience in process or project management (preferred)
5+ years experience in biotech industry or similar
Project execution a must
Problem solving, critical thinking, negotiating and presentation skills
Must be technology adept
Must be able to work at a strategic level and at requested tactical or hands-on
Good interpersonal skills able to gain buy-in from colleagues at all levels and disciplines
Ideally a Black belt in Lean Six Sigma
Knowledge of lean tools (Visual Management, 5 Why, PDCA, TPM, Kaizen, A3, SMED, etc.)
Position Type
This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work. This is a full-time position. Days and standard hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Times may vary depending on projects or event needs.
Business Travel:
5% or less travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
