QC Chemistry Lab TechnicianRTP, NC / On-Site roleNight Shift 6p-6a on 2-2-3$23 per hour6-month contract, possibility of extension or conversionABOUT THE ROLEOur client is seeking a Chemistry Lab Technician for a 6-month contract position, with the possibility of extension or conversion, located in RTP, NC.This is an on-site role operating on a 12-hour night shift (6p-6a) following a 2-2-3 schedule, where contractors will work 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next, etc.The Chemistry Lab Technician supports site production and stability programs in a GMP-regulated environment, ensuring compliance with all site procedures and quality standards.The role involves performing accurate and timely analytical testing of laboratory and stability samples using a variety of techniques, documenting results in compliance with GMP standards, reviewing data, troubleshooting equipment, supporting Lean Lab and 5S initiatives, and maintaining laboratory inventory.The position may require weekend work, work outside standard hours, and exposure to allergens in a parenteral manufacturing environment.Tasks may involve repetitive motion (e.g., keyboarding), and the role may require working in multiple areas of the site.WHAT YOU'LL DOPerform analytical testing and related laboratory activities in accordance with approved procedures and protocolsAccurately document and record data in reports and/or LIMS in compliance with GMP standardsIdentify and escalate deviations from procedures or methods; support investigations as neededReview analytical data generated by other analysts and perform second-person verification activities as requiredFollow all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) guidelinesTroubleshoot laboratory equipment and test methods as neededMaintain laboratory inventory, including supplies and consumablesSupport Lean Lab and 5S initiatives and identify process improvement opportunitiesApply scientific principles related to drug substance and drug product testingWork 12-hour night shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule, including weekends and outside standard hours as required to support 24/7 manufacturing operationsWork in multiple areas of the site, with possible exposure to allergens in a parenteral manufacturing environmentPerform tasks that may involve repetitive motion (e.g., keyboarding)WHAT YOU BRINGHigh School Diploma with relevant chemistry lab experience OR Associate's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or MicrobiologyExperience performing analytical techniques (e.g., UV-VIS, TOC, pH, conductivity, color, clarity, osmolality, visual/functional inspection)Familiarity with GMP and safety guidelines in a laboratory settingExperience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) preferredGMP QC laboratory experience preferredStrong problem-solving and analytical thinking skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHigh attention to detail and ability to accurately document dataAbility to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a teamStrong interpersonal and collaboration skillsAbility to follow Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) guidelinesWillingness to work 12-hour night shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule, including weekends and outside standard hoursWillingness to provide on-call support if neededDisclaimer: Brooksource, Medasource, and Calculated Hire are part of the Eight Eleven Group family of companies and operate under Eight Eleven Group, LLC.
