Material Coordinator
Job DescriptionMaterial CoordinatorThe Material Coordinator oversees the efficient flow of materials throughout the manufacturing process. This role coordinates material timing, delivery, and availability to support production operations. Works closely with supply chain, warehouse, production, quality, and engineering teams to improve material flow and manufacturing efficiency. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and focused on continuous improvement.Primary ResponsibilitiesCoordinate with procurement to ensure timely ordering of materialsVerify materials meet engineering specifications and quality standardsManage internal distribution of materials based on production schedulesTrack material and resource status using ERP systems and related toolsMonitor inventory levels to reduce shortages and excess inventoryObtain vendor quotes and update delivery schedules for ordersCollaborate with suppliers to source materials at competitive pricingWork closely with production, quality, engineering, and logistics teams to support material flowParticipate in process improvement and waste reduction initiativesIdentify components and understand basic operational functionsPerform all work safely and follow workplace safety proceduresPerform other duties as assigned Qualifications & Requirements High school diplomaMinimum five years of inventory, purchasing, or administrative experience preferredOilfield services, automotive, or mechanical industry experience a plusProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)Experience working within ERP systems for material tracking and process managementStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsSelf-motivated with a continuous improvement mindsetStrong verbal and written communication skillsForklift certification preferredKey Attributes Attention to detailStrong organizational and prioritization skillsAbility to stay on task and follow throughSafety consciousCustomer-focusedPositive attitudeAccountability and ethical conductStrong team-playerSchedule: Monday to Friday from 6 AM to 5 PM (with a 1-hour paid lunch). Saturdays as needed.Pay: $20 to $30 an hourRequired qualifications or experience: Must have experience in electrical or mechanical oilfield equipment, preferably.
