Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA)

Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities: - Assist patients with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing - Help patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort - Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff - Provide emotional support and companionship to patients - Assist with feeding and ensure proper nutrition and hydration - Perform basic medical procedures under the supervision of a nurse, such as phlebotomy and aseptic technique - Maintain accurate medical documentation and records - Collaborate with the healthcare team to create a safe and nurturing environment for patients - Adhere to all infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized patient care area Experience: - Previous experience in home care, memory care, acute care, or senior care is preferred - Familiarity with medical documentation and procedures is an asset - Experience working with children or individuals with dementia is beneficial - Knowledge of nursing practices and principles is desirable Qualifications: - Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of an accredited nursing assistant program - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Compassionate nature and ability to provide empathetic care - Ability to work well in a team environment - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail If you are passionate about providing quality care to patients in need, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position.
