PRIDE HEALTH IS HIRING – Medical Laboratory Scientist (Traveler)Job Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist (Traveler)Location: Evansville, IN – 47714Duration: 6 Months (Possible Extension)Shift: Night Shift (Central Time)2 × 12-hour shifts + 2 × 8-hour shifts weeklyMonday–Friday with rotating weekends & holidaysPay: $2,366/week (Gross)Job ResponsibilitiesPerform specimen collection, processing, testing, and reporting of lab resultsAnalyze specimens using approved procedures (SOPs)Review, validate, and release test results accuratelyMaintain quality control (QC), calibrations, and equipment maintenanceEnsure compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety standardsIdentify and troubleshoot testing issues; escalate when neededReport STAT/critical results as per protocolMaintain accurate records and documentation of all lab activitiesTrack reagents, expiration dates, and lab inventoryParticipate in training, meetings, and regulatory inspectionsMaintain cleanliness and organization of the labRequirementsStrong knowledge of laboratory testing, QC/QA, and lab operationsGood computer skills and ability to work across multiple systemsEducationBS in Medical Technology (preferred) ORBS/BA in Chemistry or Biology ORAssociate degree in Laboratory Science/Medical TechnologyForeign grads: Credential evaluation required (IERF)Must be eligible for certification (ASCP or AMT preferred)ExperienceMinimum 1 year of clinical lab experience (high-complexity testing preferred)Additional RequirementsAbility to multitask and prioritize workloadStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work with multiple departmentsMaintain strict patient confidentialityPride-Health offers eligible employee's comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance and employee discounts with preferred vendors.Equal Employment OpportunityPride-Health is an equal opportunity employer.
