Senior Software Engineer - Java

Overview We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application development and a passion for creating efficient and scalable solutions. Job Responsibilities: Looking for a senior individual contributor (P3) that is proficient is greenfield development and can work independently in a complex, regulated environment. Historically, these team members have had a minimum of seven years’ experience but fit will be determined by a code Kata. Strong preference for someone with experience in high-volume transaction data and high-volume data management. Software Engineering is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting applications, systems and IT products required to achieve the company’s business objectives. Demonstrates knowledge of software development techniques and fluency in software languages and application programming interfaces. Demonstrates general understanding of hardware/software platforms including but not limited to operating systems, databases, application servers, web servers and integration technologies. Plans and executes system implementations that ensure success and minimize risk of system outages or other negative production impacts. Demonstrates conceptual knowledge of architecture standards and database and operating systems. Demonstrates problem solving ability that allows for effective and timely resolution of system issues including but not limited to production outages. Analyses production system operations using tools such as monitoring, capacity analysis and outage root cause analysis to identify and drive change that ensures continuous improvement in system stability and performance. Demonstrates knowledge of software development, life cycle, modeling of business processes, application design patterns, business/functional documents. Estimates to high level business requirements and provide options analysis. You love working on high performing teams, collaborating with team members, and improving our ability to deliver You are able to co-locate with the development team if needed You have a passion and proven track record for creating robust, scalable applications. Required Skills: Java(Spring), GCP (Cloud Functions, Big query, Composer, Pub/Sub, Fire store), Terraform, some Python preferred.
