Class A CDL Driver

Job Description We are seeking a Class A CDL Driver to join our team! You will be responsible for safely operating a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW).Responsibilities:Safely transport finished goods and consumer materials over land to and from manufacturing plants, warehouses, or retail and distribution centersInspect tractors/commercial truck for mechanical items, safety issues, and perform preventative & routine maintenancePlan routes and meet delivery scheduling and appointments on timeUse of ELD/Electronic Logbook to document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receiptsComply with FMCSA/DOT commercial truck driving rules and regulations (logbooks, size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and proceduresManeuver trucks and trailers into loading or unloading positionsReport defects, accidents and/or violations to supervisorCommunicate effectively and positively with customers and staffRegional Oregon routeQualifications:Established CDL driver with valid licenseMinimum of 2 years of experienceNo recent moving or driving violations within 1 yearNo avoidable accidents within 1 yearAbility to be flexible, drive long hours, and travel regularlyExcellent customer service skillsHands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, ELD units, CB etc)Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulationsAdaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, delays, etcStrong work ethicShiftMonday - Friday Night/Overnight ShiftHome dailyOccasional Holidays
