Our focus is year-round planning, advisory, and long-term client relationships.We intentionally complete the bulk of compliance work by April 15 so we can spend the rest of the year on higher-value work: projections, strategy, and client decision-making. The result is a more consistent workload for us and more consistent results for our clients.The OpportunityWe’re hiring a Senior Tax Advisor with a clear path to Tax Manager.This role is for someone who wants to move beyond compliance into a more strategic, client-facing position. If you prefer staying behind the scenes preparing returns with limited interaction, this will not be a fit.This role is ideal for someone who:Enjoys client interaction and real conversations (not scripted calls)Can think in real time and communicate clearlyTakes ownership and executes without constant directionWorks well in a collaborative, accountable environmentKey ResponsibilitiesLead client meetings on Zoom—no scripts, real conversationsProvide real-time tax guidance for individuals and S-CorpsPrepare tax returns, primarily 1040, 1120-S, and 1065 (strong technical skills required)Build and discuss tax projections and planning strategiesConnect accounting, tax, and client decisions into clear recommendationsOperate independently while staying aligned with the teamQualificationsCPA preferred4+ years of public accounting experienceStrong experience with individual and S-Corporation taxationAbility to clearly explain tax concepts, both verbally and in writingStrong follow-through and responsivenessWork ExpectationsFull-time, real-time availability during U.S. business hours is requiredThis is a client-facing role, not task-based workAbility to work in a focused environment without competing professional or personal commitments during those hoursTravel is limited but required (team retreat + Kansas City team meeting), with optional additional opportunitiesCompensation & BenefitsSalary: $95,000 – $125,000 (based on experience and communication ability)401(k) with 3% firm contribution (no employee contribution required)$300/month home office stipendUnlimited PTOFlexible scheduling within business hoursAdditional compensation flexibility for health coveragePaid CPE and CPA duesApplication RequirementPlease provide a link to a 2–3 minute video (Loom or similar) explaining how you would approach building a tax projection for an S-Corporation client using mid-year financials.Interview Process Our process includes an initial phone interview, a Zoom interview, and a final in-person meeting.
