Teen Extreme Camp Director

Accepting applicants for TEEN EXTREME CAMP DIRECTOR with the City of Lewiston's Recreation Department. Unit: Non-Union Status: Temporary (seasonal, June-August) Schedule: Mon. - Fri. 40 hours/week, Day shift Pay Range: $17.00-$20.00/hour, based on experience REQUIREMENTS: Experience working at summer camp or schools, specifically middle school, is required. Should have an understanding of age-appropriate programming, behavior management and social needs. Patience, creativity, understanding and a flexible approach are a must! Should be a positive mentor and enjoy working with people of all ages. WORK ACTIVITIES: Oversee summer camp for youth in grades 6, 7 and 8; including field trips, activities and special events. Assist recreation staff in developing fun programming for a 7-week summer day camp. Communicate with parents, staff, campers and supervisor throughout the day. Help with paperwork, accident reports, and assist with holding staff accountable.
