Our team culture emphasizes respect, growth, and a shared commitment to excellence in periodontics.What You'll DoAs a Periodontal Surgical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our periodontist and clinical team throughout surgical and nonsurgical periodontal procedures. Your responsibilities will include:Assisting the periodontist during periodontal and implant proceduresPerforming preoperative and postoperative patient care dutiesPreparing treatment rooms and maintaining a sterile clinical environmentSupporting an unobstructed operative field using suction, retractors, and irrigationPreparing, inspecting, and sterilizing instruments and equipmentObtaining and processing dental radiographs and imaging as neededMonitoring patient comfort and status during proceduresReviewing postoperative instructions and reinforcing care guidance with patientsCompleting accurate clinical documentation and patient narrativesCoordinating supplies and equipment to ensure smooth daily operationsSupporting additional clinical responsibilities as assignedWhat You'll BringRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentRegistered Dental Assistant (RDA) in the state of Massachusetts (required)Massachusetts Dental Radiology Certification (required)Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 1 month of hire)Strong attention to detail with a focus on patient safety and infection controlExcellent manual dexterity and clinical precisionAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced periodontal settingProfessional, calm, and compassionate demeanor with patientsStrong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skillsBasic computer proficiency and comfort with clinical documentationPreferred QualificationsPrior periodontal or surgical dental assisting experienceDAANCE certification is a plusLicensed dental assistant experience in specialty practice preferredWhat We OfferCompetitive Pay, Bonus potential, annual merit reviewsHealth, dental, vision and life insurance with HSA optionPaid time off, paid holidays, sick time, and Paid Parental Leave401(k) with company matchShort- and Long- Term DisabilityFIGS Uniforms/Scrubs providedBLS/CPR CertificationEmployee Assistance ProgramBack Bay Periodontics & Dental Implants is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
