Job DutiesStart Date: Mar 8, 2026End Date: Dec 20, 2026Must Apply By: July 30, 202648 hours per week, Mon - Sat, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PMAttend to live honey bee colonies to produce honey and maintain colony health through feeding and nutritional supplements. Locate, handle, and cage queens and install queen cells as needed. Assemble beehives and frames and insert honeycomb and bees into hives. Force bees from hives during honey harvesting operations. Uncap harvested honeycombs and extract honey using appropriate equipment. Lift and carry boxes of honey. Operate farm vehicles to obtain supplies, honey extraction equipment, and miscellaneous tools used in beekeeping operations. Perform minor daily and incidental upkeep and maintenance of equipment, the worksite, and colony boxes.Minimum Education RequiredNo High School Diploma or GED requiredMinimum Experience RequiredThree (3) months of recent and verifiable experience as a beekeeper with references is required. The position requires any necessary certification or licensing and the ability to meet driver requirements, including obtaining a valid driver's license following hire and maintaining a clean driving record. The worker must be able to lift up to 70 pounds and must not have bee-, pollen-, or honey-related allergies. Must be willing to submit to random drug testing at no cost. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.
