Import / Export logistic Coordinator - Global Freight Forwarder (35259)

A global freight forwarding company is seeking an Import / Export logistic Coordinator to join their office in Jamaica, NY. 1~3+ years of working experience in the freight forwarding industry or work experience in customer service field preferred, a A.A. degree, and excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook). This is a full-time and direct hire position. Entry-level candidates and new graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply!Import / Export logistic Coordinator Duties:Coordinate international air, ocean, and ground freight shipmentsArrange bookings with airlines, steamship lines, and trucking companiesPrepare and review shipping documentation (Commercial Invoice, Packing List, B/L, AWB)Manage AES filings and export documentationEnsure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and export control requirementsCommunicate with customers regarding shipment status and documentation requirementsWork closely with customs brokers and overseas agentsMonitor cargo movement and resolve delays or discrepanciesMaintain accurate shipment records in TMS / ERP systemsSupport government-related shipments in compliance with federal regulationsImport / Export logistic Coordinator Skills:1~3 + years of experience in freight forwarding or international logisticsStrong knowledge of air and ocean freight operationsExperience preparing export documentation and AES filingsUnderstanding of Incoterms and international shipping termsFamiliarity with U.S. Customs proceduresStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple shipments simultaneouslyExcellent communication skillsJapanese language will be an asset, not mandatoryDue to the nature of certain government-related shipments and applicable export control regulations, U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.Activ8 Recruitment & Solutions / Renaissance Resources Inc. has been a trusted leader in North American recruiting for Japanese businesses for over 25 years.
