Java Software Engineer - Oakland, CA

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable Java applications.Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices.Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements.Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues.Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards.Develop unit and integration tests.Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment activities.Ensure application security, scalability, and reliability.Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of professional Java development experience.Strong expertise in Java 8/11/17.Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA.Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture.Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.Proficiency with Hibernate/JPA.Experience with SQL databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.Familiarity with Git and version control.Experience with Maven or Gradle.Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
