OneSparQ is looking for an Operations Manager to support an environmental engineering and consulting firm based in Hampton Roads, VA.Required Skills:15+ years of experience in environmental or civil disciplinesActive PE or PG licenseStrong understanding of the government and commercial sectors, including market potential, competition, clients, forecasting, and capture strategyStrong background in project managementProven leadership ability with a track record of working effectively across teams and departmentsAdditional Skills: (not required)PMP CertificationProgram Management ExperienceResponsibilities:Manage full P&L responsibilities, including financial and utilization performance.Lead recruiting, staffing, HR oversight, and professional development for the Hampton Roads team.Drive growth of environmental remediation, natural resources, and compliance services across Federal, State, Local, and Commercial sectors.Support and execute EGS and regional initiatives focused on revenue growth, diversification, and market expansion.Develop and implement business strategies, marketing budgets, and bid preparation to meet annual operating goals.Mentor, train, and evaluate staff, including conducting quarterly and annual performance reviews.Manage overhead spending, staff utilization, and operational efficiency to meet financial targets.Serve as a project/program manager and primary client contact, ensuring quality delivery, communication, and receivables collection.Collaborate with regional leadership to improve systems, processes, staffing levels, and overall organizational performance.
