Project Server (Integrated Master Schedule – IMS) / Software Developer
Position OverviewVision IT is seeking a Project Server (Integrated Master Schedule – IMS) / Software Developer to support Department of Defense operations at Los Angeles Air Force Base. This role combines technical software development responsibilities with enterprise project scheduling and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) support using Microsoft Project Server and related tools.The ideal candidate will support mission planning and execution by developing, maintaining, and enhancing scheduling systems, automation tools, and reporting solutions that enable accurate program tracking and decision-making.(This Position is Contingent Upon Award)Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, configure, and maintain Microsoft Project Server / Project Online environments supporting Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) functionsBuild and support software solutions that enhance scheduling, reporting, and project portfolio management capabilitiesDesign and implement automated workflows, data integrations, and custom applications supporting schedule managementDevelop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics for program performance tracking and milestone visibilityManage and support schedule data integrity, baseline control, and configuration management processesIntegrate Project Server data with enterprise systems, databases, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI or similar)Collaborate with program managers, schedulers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure accurate IMS development and maintenanceTroubleshoot system issues and perform performance optimization of scheduling platforms and applicationsSupport software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities including design, coding, testing, deployment, and documentationEnsure compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements, RMF controls, and STIG guidanceMaintain technical documentation for system configurations, workflows, and software componentsRequired QualificationsActive DoD Secret Clearance or higher (must be current and transferable)CompTIA Security+ certification (required and compliant with DoD 8570/8140)Experience with Microsoft Project Server, Project Online, or Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) toolsExperience in software development, scripting, or automation (e.g., C#, Python, JavaScript, or similar)Strong understanding of project scheduling principles, dependencies, and critical path analysisExperience working with relational databases and data integration techniquesFamiliarity with reporting and data visualization toolsUnderstanding of DoD cybersecurity requirements, RMF framework, and secure system practicesAbility to work onsite full-time at Los Angeles Air Force BasePreferred QualificationsExperience supporting DoD, Air Force, or Space Force program management environmentsFamiliarity with Agile or hybrid program management methodologiesExperience with Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), or similar toolsKnowledge of configuration management and baseline control processesExperience with SharePoint integration or Microsoft 365 ecosystem toolsStrong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skillsAdditional certifications such as PMP, PMI-SP, or Microsoft certificationsWe are dedicated to supporting your health, well-being, and long-term financial goals.Vision IT provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.
