Must have experience teaching a wide variety of Spanish courses at the college level. Must have experience mentoring and promoting student engagement at the undergraduate level.Responsibilities: Full-time tenure-track position in Spanish (assistant professor with promotion path to associate professor and professor). Duties include but not limited to: Teach 24 hours per academic year on campus, including elementary and intermediate Spanish courses along with grammar and composition and Latin American literature/cultural studies. Develop course materials for existing courses and develop new courses as needed. Mentor students and participate / coordinate student activities within the department. Participate in department / college / university-level governance and initiatives and community outreach as part of service responsibilities. Maintain active research agenda with scholarly publications required for tenure and promotion. Most programs are offered both on-campus and online. The Department has been an integral part in the university's international programs, offering our Composition sequence in cross-border programs in China for over twenty years.
