Process Technician

Job DescriptionYou deserve a job you love!Volt is immediately hiring for a Process Technician in Richardson, Texas.Process Technician, you will:Set up, program, and operate SMT equipment, including solder paste printers, SPI, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and AOI systemsVerify and optimize machine setups for production runs and NPI (New Product Introduction) buildsMonitor yield performance, SPC trends, and in-process quality metrics, including FPV and IPITroubleshoot process and equipment issues and perform root cause analysis to improve performanceMaintain, calibrate, and support preventive maintenance activities on SMT equipmentDevelop and optimize reflow profiles and maintain critical process parametersInspect solder joints and assembly quality to ensure compliance with IPC standardsCollect and analyze process data and maintain accurate documentation and work instructionsSupport line efficiency initiatives, cycle time reduction efforts, and continuous improvement projectsTrain and support operators while providing real-time production floor supportCollaborate with engineering teams on product dispositions, process improvements, and implementation of process changesThis is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity.The ideal candidate will have:High School Diploma or GED requiredAssociate degree in Electronics, Manufacturing, or a related technical field preferred, or equivalent work experienceMinimum of 2 years of SMT or electronics manufacturing experienceHands-on experience with SMT equipment, including printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and AOI systemsKnowledge of SMT manufacturing processes, including solder paste printing, component placement, reflow soldering, and inspectionStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with operations, engineering, and production teamsAbility to analyze process data and support continuous improvement initiativesPreferred experience includes:PCB assembly and/or semiconductor manufacturing environmentsFamiliarity with IPC standards, including IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001Experience supporting NPI and high-mix manufacturing operationsKnowledge of SPC methodologies and process control techniquesWork Environment:Factory manufacturing environment requiring cleanroom attire and protective equipmentBending, twisting, lifting up to 25 pounds, and standing for extended periods of time are requiredHands-on work with SMT production equipment and manufacturing processesFast-paced environment supporting production and engineering activitiesSalary: 43K - 58KPay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.Benefits: Since this is a Direct Hire opportunity, all benefits will be provided by the client.Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
