Transmission Planning Engineer - PSS/E
*Roles and Responsibilities:**- Lead network studies for utilities and ISOs.- Interface with engineers to prepare computer-based models.- Conduct various power system studies: feasibility, system impact, reactive compensation, stability, planning, short circuit, load flow, interconnection, and power factor correction.- Engage in proposal writing and customer interactions to develop new opportunities.*Required Education/Experience:**- BSEE degree.- 5+ years in transmission planning system studies.- Must be able to lead system impact studies.- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.- 3+ years with PSS/E.- Project leadership and mentoring experience.- Familiarity with ERCOT interconnection processes.- Willingness to travel up to 10%.*Desired Education/Experience:**- MSEE or PhD.- 5+ years with PSS/E.- 7-10 years in transmission planning studies.- PE registration or equivalent.- Experience with additional software: PSLF, TARA, PSCAD, Aspen Oneliner, ETAP, Power World.- Coding and automation skills.Skills and Certifications PSS/E
