Industrial Carpenter

Construction and Installation:Build, install, and repair a variety of structures and fixtures.Work with aluminum, steel, concrete, and other materials.Erect concrete forms, plumb, level, and grade.Place embeds and rig large formwork.Install windows, doors, and other fixtures within steel structures.Install foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs.Install trim, moldings, and other finishing details.Blueprint Reading and Layout:Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans.Prepare project layouts and determine dimensions and materials needed.Measure, mark, and arrange materials based on blueprints or instructions.Tool Operation and Material Handling:Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.Operate tools and machinery such as saws, drills, and sanders.Fasten materials with nails, screws, staples, and adhesives.Move necessary materials around the job site.Safety and Quality:Adhere to local building and safety codes and guidelines.Follow established safety rules and regulations.Maintain a safe and clean work environment.Ensure the accuracy of work by checking completed projects with tools such as levels, surveying equipment, or framing squares; corrects problems as needed.Other Duties:Erect and dismantle scaffolding.May operate equipment needed to place concrete.Work with other construction professionals such as electricians, plumbers, and architects.Perform minor calculations to assess load requirements and material dimensions.May be involved in demolition and maintenance of structures.Requirements:1 years of experience as a Carpenter.Valid Driver’s LicenseReliable TransportationMust have own hand toolsCannot be afraid of heightsWeekend work requiredPass Pre-employment drug screen .All Grand Industrial employees are required to comply with our Substance Abuse Prevention Policy as a condition of employment.
