Job DescriptionIntegrated Healthcare Services is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Houston, Texas.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Interventional Radiology TechnologistDiscipline: Allied Health ProfessionalDuration: 14 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 10 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelThe Interventional Radiology Specialist performs high-quality routine and specialized interventional radiographic procedures as requested by licensed practitioners for interpretation by radiologists. They act as a liaison between patients, radiologists, and the support team, ensuring compassionate care and accurate diagnostic results. Responsibilities include:Performing radiographic positioning and exposure techniques with precision.Maintaining and enhancing knowledge of radiation safety and protection.Preparing, administering, and documenting medications per state regulations and institutional policies.Demonstrating expertise in human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.Providing patient care, documentation, quality control, and quality improvement.Training and mentoring students, technologists, and other staff.Ensuring a safe and hazard-free environment.Additional duties include:Checking and maintaining room inventory for continuous exam flow.Confirming patient identity and verifying pregnancy and informed consent statuses.Assessing contraindications such as medication risks, patient history, and lab results.Determining and administering appropriate contrast agents based on patient factors.Operating and troubleshooting required equipment, including R.I.S. and PACS systems.Providing population-appropriate care for patients from infancy to adulthood.Work Schedule: 4-10 hour shifts, rotating day off each week, 0700-1730.QUALIFICATION/LICENSUREWork Authorization : US CitizenPreferred years of experience : 2 yearsTravel required : No travel requiredShift timings : DaysRightSourcing IHS Job ID #37231925.
