Headquartered in the Greater New Orleans region, PMEP supports projects throughout the Southeast, delivering dependable execution and long-term value through every phase of construction.About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and reliable Service Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.Core ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixturesDiagnose electrical issues using testing devices and technical expertiseRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawingsEnsure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codesPerform routine inspections and preventative maintenanceRespond to service calls and provide timely, effective solutionsCommunicate clearly with customers regarding issues, repairs, and recommendationsMaintain accurate service records and documentationFollow all safety procedures and guidelinesQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certification preferred)Proven experience as an electrical technician or similar roleStrong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety standardsAbility to troubleshoot and solve complex electrical problemsValid drivers license and clean driving recordAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPreferred SkillsJourneyman or Master Electrician licenseExperience with residential and/or commercial systemsStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to manage time effectively and prioritize tasksPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry heavy equipmentComfortable working in confined spaces, heights, and varying weather conditionsStanding, bending, and kneeling for extended periodsWork EnvironmentOn-site at customer locations (residential, commercial, or industrial)May require evening, weekend, or on-call workCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly wage or salary (based on experience)Health, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysRetirement plan optionsOpportunities for training and career advancementPMEP is an equal opportunity employer.
