***This application is for previous CTFF employees or those who did not complete the onboarding process with CTFF and are seeking to be re-employed by CTFF***Salary Range: $18.00 - $23.50Counties Served: Fresno, Kings, Madera, Merced, Tulare, SacramentoMonitor Student Learning in an After School Program EnvironmentMonitor and mentor student learning activities daily.Develop lesson plans and establish clear objectives for each day.Submit lesson plans to Teaching Fellows, ensuring target standards are met.Provide individual and group tutoring.Prepare reports to track student progress and accomplishments.Enforce behavioral rules and procedures to maintain order.Observe and evaluate student performance and behavior.Ensure equipment and materials are used properly.Communication & SafetyFoster good communication with fellow tutors, teachers, and with the California Teaching Fellows Foundation.Collaborate with other tutors on lesson planning and program goals.Ensure student safety and supervise all of their activities.Follow emergency procedures set forth by Teaching Fellows and/or school districts.Report any incidents promptly to the site lead, school administration, or local authorities.Perform Other Duties as AssignedAttend monthly staff meetings (Teaching Fellow Academies) once a month and training as scheduledOffer opinions and suggestions on program decisionsAdhere to any directives given by site lead, assistant site lead, or liaison18 years old or olderHave obtained a high school diploma or GED equivalentCompletion of 48 college units or passage of an approved exam, if applicable, to meet the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) requirements.Proficiency in the English language, including spelling, grammar, and composition; ability to speak multiple languages is recognized as beneficial but not required.General understanding of educational standards and the public school system.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to undergo background checks and Tuberculosis exam.Former employees must have left the company in good standing and maintained a satisfactory work history to be eligible for rehirePreferred:Ability to lead and motivate others.Excellent organization and time management.High ethical standards and cultural sensitivity.Desire to foster educational aspirations and goals in youth.The California Teaching Fellows Foundation is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
