Assembler / Solder Technician
Assembler OpportunityOur client, an Aerospace and Defense company, is looking for multiple assemblers for their Orlando, FL location.Responsibilities:Perform advanced rework on circuit card assemblies, including but not limited to:BGA (Ball Grid Array) reballing and replacementQFN (Quad Flat No-Lead) and other leadless package reworkHigh-density connector rework and repairComplex SMT (Surface Mount Technology) component replacementThrough-hole and surface mount technology (SMT) componentsFine pitch and high-density componentsUtilize various soldering techniques, including hand soldering and reflow solderingUses microscope to verify correct part placement and orientationInspect and troubleshoot assemblies to identify defects and areas for improvementDevelop and implement rework procedures for new and existing productsCollaborate with engineering teams to resolve design and manufacturing issuesPerform mechanical assembly operations, including:Installing stand-offs, spacers, and other hardwareAssembling and aligning complex mechanical componentsUsing adhesives, epoxies, and other bonding agentsMaintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and quality standardsRequirements:5+ years of experience in soldering and rework, with a focus on advanced techniquesStrong understanding of electronics assembly and repair principlesProficiency with soldering equipment, including but not limited to:Soldering irons and stationsReflow ovens and soldering machinesExperience with inspection and testing equipment, such as microscopes and X-ray machinesExcellent hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting production deadlines and quality standardsStrong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teamsIPC (Institute for Printed Circuits) certification in soldering and rework (e.g., IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/7721)Experience with automated optical inspection (AOI) and x-ray inspection (AXI) systemsThrough-hole and surface mount technology (SMT) componentsCandidate must be an extraordinary solder technician or operator that has used re-work equipment and has experience with surface mount components.Why Should You Apply?Health BenefitsReferral ProgramExcellent growth and advancement opportunitiesAs an equal opportunity employer, ICONMA provides an employment environment that supports and encourages the abilities of all persons without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, ethnicity, national origin, age, disability status, political affiliation, genetics, marital status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
