Embedded Software Engineer

Our client, a global leader in aerospace and defense technology, is hiring Embedded Software Verification Engineers to join their team in Cedar Rapids, IA.**This is a 2–4 month W2 contract with immediate start opportunities**As an Embedded Software Verification Engineer, you will support the verification and validation of safety-critical avionics software for Display Head and Touch Screen systems. You'll develop and execute requirements-based test procedures, perform low-level software integration and verification, debug embedded systems in lab environments, and collaborate closely with software engineers, systems engineers, and subject matter experts to ensure compliance with DO-178C certification standards.Responsibilities:Develop requirements-based verification test cases and test procedures for embedded avionics software.Execute, troubleshoot, and debug software tests on embedded hardware in laboratory environments.Perform low-level software integration, verification, and unit testing activities.Collaborate with software engineers, systems engineers, subject matter experts, and reviewers to develop, review, and approve test artifacts.Support verification efforts for Display Head and Touch Screen software used in aerospace applications.Participate in daily team meetings while working closely with onsite and global engineering teams to meet aggressive project timelines.Desired Skills:5+ years of embedded software engineering experience (highly qualified candidates with 3+ years may be considered).Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or another STEM discipline is preferred, but candidates with equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.Experience with DO-178C DAL A or DAL B Requirements-Based Verification.Strong Embedded C++ programming experience.Experience with low-level software integration, verification, and unit testing.Experience debugging embedded software running on hardware platforms.Experience with DO-178C DAL A or DAL B Requirements Development is preferred.Motion Recruitment Partners is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability/vets.
