A successful candidate will have a genuine passion for the hospitality industry and an entrepreneurial spirit.ResponsibilitiesGreet every guest with a smile and maintain eye contactMust be courteous and gracious, maintaining a professional demeanor at all timesEstablish and maintain good communications and teamwork with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotelOffer guests an enjoyable experience that conforms to the company's standards of excellence, professionalism and friendlinessDemonstrate expert understanding and knowledge of the sequence of service, following this sequence for every guest.Possess expert knowledge of the POS system to correctly and strategically coordinate guest food and beverage ordersAssist coworkers in any task necessary to ensure a great environment for guests and coworkersPossess expert knowledge of all food and beverage aspects of the eventSet up tables, serve food and beverages to guests, courteously and efficientlyMaintain cleanliness of banquet work area and equipmentAttend all pre-function meetings required to ensure events flow smoothlyService all aspects of the banquet operation in accordance with all departmental and hotel standardsTake ownership of all service issues brought to your attention by guestsRead and execute specifications listed in the Banquet Event OrderParticipate in scheduled departmental and administrative meetings as requestedCore CompetenciesHigh School diploma or general education degree (GED)Two (2) years related experience in hospitality or service industry preferredStrong communication skillsCollaborative spiritEthical ConductComputer Proficiency: Microsoft Office, Opera PMSPositive AttitudeEye for DetailProblem solving abilitiesCompensation & BenefitsWe offer competitive wages and benefits while fostering a diverse and inclusive work experience.
