Legal Intake SpecialistPosition OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Intake Specialist to join our personal injury team. The specialist will serve as the first point of contact for potential clients, conduct thorough intake interviews, review case details and medical information, and accurately document leads for attorney review. The role focuses on efficiently assessing case viability, gathering relevant medical records, and ensuring a professional and compassionate experience for prospective clients.Key ResponsibilitiesAnswer and triage incoming inquiries via phone, email, and web forms, providing timely and courteous responses.Conduct comprehensive intake interviews to gather facts, medical history, witness information, and incident details relevant to personal injury claims.Perform initial case reviews to identify potential causes of action, strengths, and issues requiring further investigation.Request, obtain, and organize medical records, billing statements, and other documentation necessary for evaluating cases.Enter and maintain accurate client and case information in the case management system; generate intake summaries for attorney review.Coordinate follow-up communications, schedule consultations with attorneys, and manage deadlines for intake-related tasks.Ensure compliance with confidentiality and data protection regulations (e.g., HIPAA), and maintain secure handling of sensitive medical information.Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to escalate qualified leads and provide clear case summaries.Track intake metrics and contribute to process improvements to increase conversion and efficiency.Qualifications2+ years experience in legal intake, call center intake, or related role; personal injury experience preferred.Familiarity with personal injury law fundamentals and the ability to perform preliminary case review.Experience requesting and reviewing medical records and understanding basic medical terminology.Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent client service and empathy.High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.Proficiency with case management software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office; experience with legal-specific software a plus.Knowledge of privacy laws and best practices for handling protected health information (HIPAA compliance).Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple intakes, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.High school diploma or equivalent required; paralegal certificate, legal assistant training, or related college coursework preferred.Bilingual candidates (Spanish/English or other languages) encouraged to apply.Benefits$26-$30/hour (approximately $54,000-$62,000/year)Bonus opportunities based on cases signed ($2K-$5K+)Medical, Vision, Dental401k Email Your Resume In Word ToDrew.Gilmore@CyberCoders.comLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
