We are in search of a highly motivated candidate to join our talented Team.Job Title: Database Administrator 2Location(s): Austin, TXSummary:Seeking Database Administrator 2 professionals with experience in database administration, data warehousing, data modeling, ETL processes, database performance tuning, security administration, disaster recovery, and enterprise reporting environments. Candidates will support database installation, upgrades, migrations, security controls, performance optimization, backup/recovery processes, and data warehouse initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Install, upgrade, test, and support database management systems and database software migrations. Design, analyze, modify, and maintain database structures and environments. Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures. Establish and maintain database security controls and user access management. Monitor database performance and implement tuning and optimization strategies. Develop and maintain database documentation, standards, policies, and procedures. Design logical and physical data models, including relational database structures. Support data warehouse development, maintenance, and optimization. Create and maintain data dictionaries and metadata repositories. Assist with database software evaluation and technology recommendations. Ensure database environments comply with accessibility standards and support users experiencing accessibility-related issues. Support ETL processes, data integration, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives. Collaborate with technical and business teams to gather requirements and implement database solutions. Required Experience & Skills:5+ years of database administration experience. Strong knowledge of database management systems and data warehouse architectures. Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining data warehouses and data marts. Experience building and maintaining data dictionaries. Proficiency with database access and application delivery tools. Strong analytical, planning, and management reporting capabilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills. Experience solving complex technical problems. Knowledge of benchmarking methodologies and performance analysis. Experience with data warehouse modeling techniques including:Star SchemaSnowflake SchemaHighly normalized data modelsExperience with ETL tools such as:InformaticaIBM WebSphere DataStageSimilar enterprise ETL platformsExperience with enterprise databases such as:OracleSQL ServerTeradataSimilar database technologiesExperience with business intelligence and reporting tools such as:Business ObjectsCognosHyperionMicroStrategySimilar reporting platformsExperience throughout the full data warehouse lifecycle:Requirements gatheringLogical data modelingPhysical database designData sourcingData transformationData loadingSQL developmentReporting and end-user toolsProven ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications:Oracle Database administration experience. SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) report development experience. M204 database experience. Experience Level:4-7 years of relevant database administration experience. Works with limited supervision and exercises independent judgment.
