Network Estimator

Overall Scope The Structured Cabling/Technology Systems Estimator/Designer position works closely with our sales team, clients, and project teams to provide an understanding of the client needs and produce an estimate of materials and labor to provide the services to meet those needs. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. · Perform all duties as outlined below in a Positive Team environment. · Interact with Sales, Project Team, and Clients · Review Request for Proposals (RFP) with Team · Develop Request for Information’s (RFI) as needed · Review & Understand Specifications as required of the RFP · Perform physical take-offs of plans for counts of materials · Compile information to provide an accurate cost model/estimate of labor and materials · Interact with Distributors and Manufacturers for product pricing · Perform write up of services to be performed based on plans and specifications · Utilize industry knowledge to assess accuracy of RFP · Conduct site surveys when necessary · Identify Scope Gap that is necessary for a complete and operational system · Design Structured Cabling Systems when required · Compile turn over documentation for Operations Team. · Prepare job specific submittals · Prepare Change Orders as necessary · Represent Walker Engineering at Trade Shows and other Industry Events Competencies · Technical Capacity. · Financial Management. · Communication Proficiency. · Time Management. · Discretion. · Decision Making.
