Job Description Industrial Pipe Painter – Oilfield OperationsPosition OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Industrial Pipe Painter to join our oilfield operations team. This role is responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing pipelines and facility piping and related equipment to ensure long‐term protection against corrosion, chemicals, and harsh environmental conditions. The ideal candidate has experience with industrial coatings, surface preparation, and spray equipment, along with a strong commitment to safety and quality.Key ResponsibilitiesSurface Preparation — Clean, sandblast, grind, or otherwise prepare pipe surfaces to required specifications.Coating Application — Apply primers, epoxies, urethanes, and specialty coatings using sandblast equipment, paint pot, brushes, or rollers.Equipment Operation — Set up, operate, and maintain spray guns, pressure pots, pumps, and related tools.Quality Control — Inspect surfaces, verify coating thickness, and ensure proper adhesion and finish.Safety Compliance — Follow all company, OSHA, and environmental safety standards, including PPE use and proper handling of hazardous materials.Documentation — Record paint batches, surface prep methods, and coating results as required.QualificationsIndustrial painting experience in oilfield, refinery, or heavy industrial environments.Knowledge of surface prep standards (SSPC/NACE preferred).Ability to read and follow coating specifications and technical data sheets.Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.Strong focus on safety, teamwork, and communication.Must pass pre‐employment drug screening and background check .Physical RequirementsHeavy lifting up to 50 lbs.Standing, bending, climbing, and working at heights or in confined spaces.Ability to wear respirators and full PPE for extended periods.Schedule & Work EnvironmentFull‐time, with overtime and weekend work as needed.Oilfield environment with exposure to heat, cold, dust, and chemicals.Travel to field locations may be required.Why Join UsCompetitive pay based on experience.Per-Diem while working out of town.Opportunities for advancement and certification.Strong safety culture and supportive team environment.Company Description About Ortiz Services:Ortiz Services is a leading provider in the oilfield construction sector, proudly serving the industry with unparalleled dedication and excellence.
