This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys turning concepts into real-world equipment, collaborating with engineers and manufacturing teams, and seeing designs come to life from start to finish.Responsibilities: Design custom automation equipment, machine components, tooling, and assemblies using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)Create detailed mechanical drawings, BOMs, assembly documentation, and manufacturing printsWork closely with engineering, controls, manufacturing, and project management teams to develop innovative solutionsModify and improve existing machine designs for performance, reliability, and manufacturabilityParticipate in design reviews, prototype builds, testing, and system start-upsEnsure designs meet customer specifications, safety standards, and project timelinesSupport shop floor assembly teams with technical guidance during buildsTroubleshoot design issues and implement engineering changes as neededQualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, OR equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree2+ years of mechanical design experience in automation, machinery, tooling, or custom equipmentProficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar 3D CAD platformsStrong understanding of mechanical components such as pneumatics, bearings, conveyors, motors, and structural assembliesAbility to interpret engineering concepts and translate them into manufacturable designsStrong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skillsExperience with machine build environments is highly preferredPreferred Experience: Custom automation or special machinery designWeldments, sheet metal, machined parts, and assembly layoutsKnowledge of industrial safety standards and ergonomicsExposure to robotics integration or motion systemsQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information. #inauto
