DevOps Software Engineer

Job Description About the RoleAxiros is seeking a hands-on DevOps Software Engineer to join our growing North America team in Plano, TX. This role sits at the intersection of infrastructure, networking, and telecom systems, supporting mission-critical broadband and device management platforms used by global service providers. You will work in a small, collaborative team where your technical depth and ownership directly impact system reliability, scalability, and performance.What You'll Do Build, deploy, and maintain cloud and on-prem infrastructure Deploy and maintain ACS/device management platforms in ISP and telecommunications environmentsManage containerized environments (Docker) and virtual machinesSupport CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automationOptimize database performance and system scalabilityAssist with platform integrations and operational toolingSupport networking components including routers and load balancersTroubleshoot production environments in ISP and telecom ecosystemsRequired ExperienceExperience with modern database technologies such as relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, Redis)Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, DNS, and DHCPExperience managing and integrating network devices using Broadband Forum protocols such as TR-069 and TR-369Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and integrationsExperience with Ansible for configuration management and automationStrong familiarity with Git for version control and collaborative developmentDeep understanding of Linux/Unix systems, including administration and troubleshootingExperience performing network-level debugging, including packet capture analysis (e.g., tcpdump, Wireshark)Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized environmentsExperience managing virtualized infrastructure such as VMware or KVMExperience deploying or operating workloads on cloud platforms (AWS and/or Google Cloud)Nice to HaveExperience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly TerraformFamiliarity with Kubernetes or container orchestration platformsKnowledge of DOCSIS and/or FTTH broadband architecturesExperience working with CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) environmentsFamiliarity with telecommunications OSS/BSS systemsPrior experience working in the ISP or telecommunications industryCompensation (Dallas / Plano Market)The expected base salary range for this role in the Dallas–Plano market is $115,000 – $150,000 annually.
