We support today’s power distribution needs while building the future through our Future Grids portfolio.Position OverviewWe are hiring a Manufacturing Engineering Technician (Machinist 2) to support our greenfield skid assembly workshop, SieSAW, in Knightdale, NC. This role reports to the Production Manager and provides hands-on technical support. The technician serves as the primary on floor technical expert in machining, metals work, fabrication, assembly processes, and other manufacturing activities as assigned.Location: Knightdale, NC Skid Assembly WorkshopShift: 1st Shift Pay Rate: $30.17/hourBasic QualificationsExperience in a manufacturing or production environment performing mechanical assembly, machine operation, or similar hands-on workAbility to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documentationStrong mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and measuring devicesAbility to stand for the duration of a shift and perform physical tasks including reaching, grasping, bending, stooping, and lifting to 50 lbsAbility to speak, read, write, and understand EnglishLegally authorized to work in the United States on a continuous and permanent basis without company sponsorshipPreferred QualificationsCollege degree in a technical field, preferably an engineering discipline: Industrial, Mechanical and Electrical EngineeringExperience operating press brake machines, ERHT machines, or Komax wire processing equipmentExperience with CNC equipment, SAP, AutoCAD, Vis table, and lean manufacturing environmentsExperience with wiring, cable assembly, electrical or mechanical assembly, and Microsoft suiteYou’ll make an impact bySetting up, operating, and monitoring manufacturing equipment such as press brake machines, ERHT machines, and Komax wire processing machines to produce high quality parts and assembliesReading and following BOMs, layouts, and technical drawingsReading and interpreting 2D and 3D blueprints, schematics, layouts, and technical documentationUsing hand tools, pneumatic and battery powered tools, torque wrenches, and measuring devices safely and accuratelyInspecting finished products for quality, recording production data, and completing required documentation using computer systemsMaintaining clean, organized, and safe work areas while following all Environmental, Health, and Safety requirementsSupporting continuous improvement efforts and performing additional duties as assigned by leadershipOur Commitment to Equity and Inclusion in our Diverse Global Workforce:We value your unique identity and perspective.
