This role requires strong technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments.Key Responsibilities:Define and manage system-level requirements, including decomposition into subsystem requirementsServe as a primary technical interface with customers to ensure requirements are clearly captured and metPartner with cross-functional teams to drive alignment between system requirements and subsystem designDevelop and manage interface control documents across hardware, software, and firmware componentsLead full systems engineering lifecycle (V-model), from requirements through validation and verificationCreate and maintain system architecture and design documentationConduct trade studies and rapid impact assessments to inform design decisionsPerform analyses to validate that system designs meet defined requirementsDrive milestone reviews and gate processes from concept through product launchIdentify gaps, prioritize effectively, and lead cross-team efforts to resolve technical challengesOperate independently and navigate complex problems with minimal oversightBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related field8+ years of systems engineering experience, ideally spanning full product lifecycle (concept to delivery)Proven ability to establish and manage technical baselines in complex systemsExperience with requirements and lifecycle management tools (e.g., JAMA, Polarion, DOORS)Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools (e.g., SparxEA, Capella)Proficiency in Python or similar object-oriented programming languagesExperience with version control systems such as Git/GitHubStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to lead cross-functional technical initiativesITAR Requirements:Applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) or eligible to obtain required export authorizations.Interested in hearing more?
