Sr. Software Engineer

DescriptionWe are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build and enhance software solutions that support hearing healthcare services in Draper, Utah. This role will shape technical direction, contribute hands-on engineering expertise, and help deliver dependable applications used by customers and business partners. The ideal candidate brings strong full-stack development experience, sound architectural judgment, and a collaborative approach to solving complex technical challenges.Responsibilities:• Architect, develop, and maintain software components and services across the full development lifecycle, from initial design through production support.• Guide engineering decisions by promoting sound coding practices, scalable design patterns, and maintainable application structure.• Partner with product, design, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business goals into effective technical solutions.• Provide mentorship to other engineers through code reviews, technical coaching, and day-to-day development support.• Strengthen system performance, resilience, and uptime by identifying issues proactively and implementing sustainable improvements.• Build and evolve APIs, backend services, and user-facing features using modern web technologies and service-oriented approaches.• Contribute to technical planning and roadmap discussions, helping prioritize work that improves platform capability and long-term stability.• Implement secure and reliable solutions that support distributed systems, cloud-based environments, and event-driven integrations.Requirements• At least 7 years of software engineering experience, including work on complex production applications.• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.• Strong hands-on experience with backend development using Node.js or Ruby on Rails.• Proficiency with frontend development using React.js and JavaScript or TypeScript.• Experience designing and consuming RESTful or GraphQL APIs in service-based architectures.• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, cloud platforms such as AWS, and CI/CD pipelines.• Demonstrated ability to design secure, scalable systems and improve application performance and reliability.• Proven success leading technical initiatives, mentoring developers, and working effectively within collaborative Agile teams.Job typePerm
