Founded in 2021, Jasper is a remote-first organization with team members across the US, France, and Australia.About The Role We're looking for a VP of Finance to lead the finance function at Jasper and serve as a strategic partner on the executive team. This is the senior-most finance role in the company, reporting directly to the CEO, and we need someone who shows up as a business leader first and a finance leader second.The right person for this role is strategy-heavy. You'll translate the CEO's vision into realistic financial and operating models, help chart the company's direction in a rapidly evolving AI market, and bring financial insight to every major decision. You'll also own the full finance function FP&A, accounting, and strategic finance but operational rigor at this level is expected, not the differentiator. What sets you apart is your ability to influence cross-functionally, support fundraising and investor relationships, and help Jasper make the right strategic bets.This fully remote role reports to the CEO and is open to candidates located anywhere in the continental US.What You Will Do At Jasper Strategy & Cross-Functional PartnershipServe as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team, providing financial leadership that actively shapes company direction, resource allocation, and growth prioritiesTranslate the CEO's vision and strategic priorities into actionable financial and operating models that drive alignment across the businessLead strategic planning, scenario analysis, and investment evaluation to support agile decision-making in a fast-moving AI marketPartner deeply with cross-functional executives on priorities, trade-offs, and performance accountability earning trust as a go-to business partner, not just a finance functionPricing, GTM & MonetizationCollaborate with Product and GTM leaders to shape pricing strategy, deal structuring, and monetization initiativesSupport Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success with financial targets, unit economics analysis, performance tracking, and KPI reviewsBring financial rigor to commercial decisions without slowing the businessFundraising, Board & Investor SupportPrepare and present board and investor materials that frame financial performance within the broader business narrative and strategic contextSupport fundraising processes and due diligence as a key contributor; manage investor communications alongside the CEOBuild comfort operating in board-level conversations and stakeholder managementFinance Operations & TeamOwn the full finance function end-to-end FP&A, accounting, strategic finance, and financial operationsLead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning, building and maintaining SaaS financial modelsOversee all accounting operations, ensuring GAAP compliance, timely and accurate monthly close, and strong internal controlsManage and optimize financial systems and infrastructure (including NetSuite) to support scale and efficiencyDefine, track, and communicate core SaaS metrics ARR, NRR, churn, gross margin, cash flow, and LTV/CACBuild, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team; establish scalable processes that balance rigor with the speed a startup demandsWhat You Will Bring To Jasper 12+ years of progressive experience across finance, FP&A, accounting, or financial operations, with meaningful time in high-growth B2B SaaS environmentsPrior experience as a VP Finance, Senior Director of Finance, or equivalent having owned or significantly shaped the finance function at a growth-stage technology companyDemonstrated ability to operate as a strategic business partner, not just a finance operator with a track record of influencing decisions beyond the finance functionStrong foundation across FP&A and accounting with the ability to operate across the full finance stackExperience supporting board reporting, investor communications, and fundraising processesHands-on experience with M&A including target evaluation, financial due diligence, deal modeling, and post-acquisition integration planningAdvanced financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills; deep Excel expertiseHands-on experience with NetSuite and modern finance toolsSolid understanding of GAAP, SaaS business models, subscription/usage-based revenue, and key operating metricsProven ability to communicate complex financial insights clearly and persuasively to executives, board members, and cross-functional partnersDemonstrated success building, mentoring, and scaling high-performing finance teamsHigh degree of ownership, a bias toward action, and comfort operating in ambiguityBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; MBA or CPA preferredCompensation Range At Jasper, we believe in pay transparency and are committed to providing our employees and candidates with access to information about our compensation practices. The expected base salary range offered for this role is $248,000 - $310,000.
