Director of Electrical Engineering – Data Center Design & ConstructionLocation: Dallas, TXWorking Structure: Hybrid, 2-3 days per week on-site (Flexible with work life balance)Compensation: $180k – $210k Base + Project-Based Bonuses (Upto 70% of Base comp)We have partnered with a Premier Southwest Real Estate Developer currently scaling to meet a massive surge in their data center portfolio. Backed by a multi-billion dollar institutional parent company, this firm operates with a lean, efficient team of 50+ people.They are at a significant growth point, currently delivering a flagship hyperscale site. They are seeking a singular Director of Electrical Engineering to serve as the ultimate technical authority across all electrical infrastructure, power generation, and distribution systems.If you are an elite Electrical Engineering leader who has spent years in the teams of Tier-1 design firms, can navigate complex utility negotiations and high-voltage distribution with ease, and are ready to stop billing hours and start building equity across a $7B portfolio, this is your next move.Roles & ResponsibilitiesAs the Director of Electrical Engineering, you aren't in the mix of CAD - you are the strategist ensuring power availability and electrical excellence across the entire $7B portfolio:Design Orchestration: Lead and manage external Tier-1 electrical engineering consultants to ensure Basis of Design (BOD) alignment, reliability, and technical integrity.Technical Authority: Serve as the ultimate leader of Engineering in high-stakes meetings with Fortune 100 stakeholders, explaining the why behind site-specific electrical topologies, redundancy paths, and distribution decisions.Site Adaptation & Power Scaling: Take prototype designs and strategically adapt them to specific site constraints, managing massive utility connections, substations, and high-density power requirements.Early Engagement & Grid Navigation: Own the technical vision from land entitlement through to project completion. Evaluate power availability, utility capacity, and infrastructure viability before the shovel even hits the dirt.Cross-Discipline Alignment: Ensure seamless integration between the electrical infrastructure and high-density mechanical cooling demands, safeguarding the overall efficiency and uptime of hyperscale systems.What We Are Looking ForExperience: 8+ years in Mission Critical - Data Center electrical infrastructure design.Pedigree: A background in top-tier mission-critical engineering firms, a General Contractor, or a Data Center Developer is essential.Qualifications: B.S. in Electrical Engineering (EE).
