DescriptionDiscover your exciting roleThe Lead Mechanical Engineer, specializing in Biopharma Life Sciences, collaborates within a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers to develop comprehensive construction documents for critical systems, including HVAC (wet and dry), plumbing, controls, and related infrastructure.Explore your tasks and responsibilitiesPerforms engineering tasks for the design of utilities and HVAC (wet/dry) systems for high technology facilities including cleanrooms, pharmaceutical manufacturing/process facilities and life science facilitiesPrepares mechanical engineering calculations in support of HVAC systems design including heat load calculations, duct sizing, chilled water hydraulics, static pressure calculations, equipment sizing and selectionPlans and schedules discipline deliverables and activities including man-hour estimation, assigning personnel, and supervision of discipline personnel on the ProjectsSupports project on-site execution and make decisions to support projects and act as technical consultantDevelops manpower and labor cost requirements for a project and monitor them to aid in evaluating project schedule and budgetProvides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertiseDevelops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by discipline teamDevelops of conceptual design, preliminary design and final design documents which would include calculations related to sizing and selecting of these systems, the development of Process and InstrumentationDiagrams, general arrangements and sequences of operation associated with these systemsWorks closely in coordination with the project team and other disciplines as well as other design officesCoordinates with disciplines in the preparation and development of the deliverables and ensuring those other disciplines' inputs are incorporatedOther duties as assignedShow your expertiseMinimum RequiredEducation: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering requiredProfessional Engineer (PE) License preferred8+ years of experienceAutodesk Building Systems SoftwarePreferredNation Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) RecordThorough knowledge of codes and common industry standards related to the design of biologics and pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities and systemsConsulting engineering experienceExperience working within a team environmentExperience in the quality control review processExperience contributing to continuous improvement processesApplicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.Non-Solicitation: We are not currently accepting third-party agency candidates for this position.
