Estimating Manager

Estimating ManagerThe Estimating Manager leads the estimating team to ensure accurate, timely, and competitive cost estimates. This role supports strategic growth by maintaining estimating standards, coordinating bid efforts, and aligning with operations to ensure smooth project handoff and execution readiness. Core accountabilities include: Win profitable work. Bid accuracy and margin integrity. Work product standardization. Team performance and output. Operational alignment. Database health. Proposal documents. Execution responsibilities include: Leadership and strategy. Estimating strategy and oversight. Bid coordination and management. Operational alignment and handoff. Measures of success include: Winning profitable work. Bid accuracy and margin retention. Timely completion of all bid submissions and internal handoff packages. Standardization of estimating templates and takeoff workflows. Development and retention of junior estimating talent. Positive alignment and feedback from the operations and executive teams. Experience and qualifications include: 10+ years in E&I estimating. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Science, Engineering, or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience leading and developing a team of estimators. Advanced skills in Excel, Bluebeam Revu, and Navisworks. Mastery of internal and external partnerships; ability to defend "the number" with technical precision and professional diplomacy in high-stakes client negotiations. Working conditions include: Combination of office and field environments. Ability to lift 20 pounds and work safely in active construction environments. Ability to work on-site in Corpus Christi or Houston, TX. Some overnight travel to attend Business Development, negotiations, kick-off and other required meetings. Employment conditions include: Subject to satisfactory background check and drug/alcohol screening. Must have a valid driver's license. Ability to work extended hours as required by project demands and perform other duties as assigned. Must comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
