Our Weatherization/Energy Services team is hiring new and experienced installers and trades people to retrofit residential homes with energy-saving devices and systems.Weatherization crews are provided uniforms, tools, and an agency work truck for transportation to job sites. As Weatherization Crew Laborer you will:Install insulation and windows, air seal residential buildings, clean, tune, and repair heating systems, and other tasks as directed in work plansOrganize materials for daily work activityDrive and properly care for agency work trucksComply with safety rules and guidelinesQualifications: High school diploma or GED/HSED preferred; relevant experience in residential housing construction and/or weatherization preferred; obtain certifications as required by program; valid, unrestricted New York State driver's license.Working Conditions:Work with tools, materials, and equipment typical in-home repair and weatherization; requires strenuous work inside and outside clients' dwellings in all types of weather conditions; frequent physical exertion, including lifting heavy loads, twisting, bending; climbing ladders and work at heights; need to practice safety procedures to prevent exposure to hazards encountered at worksites; must be able to pass occupational physical exams (DOT and respirator fit test) upon hire.WE TRAIN!!We work with CDO Workforce: An American Job Center whenever possible to assist with our on-the-job training resources.
