Actual compensation may differ depending on assigned hours and position status (e.g., part-time)./ppPay Range:/pp$34.90 - $45.83/ppScheduled Weekly Hours:/pp40/ppPosition Overview/ph3Essential Functions/h3ulliTriages and assesses patients and determines the clinical priority by assessing patients condition, medical history, and present status by screening and interviewing patient, by reviewing medical records, and by reviewing physician notes. Performs and documents part of the physical assessment including but not limited to chief complaint and vital signs. Obtains and records patient medical history as needed. Discusses and reviews patients prognosis with medical staff./liliReviews and coordinates patients medical phone calls, assesses the patients status, and schedules treatment according to established protocol. Reviews medication refill requests, laboratory and other test results daily and prioritizes them for LIPs according to established protocol./liliPerforms nursing care and treatment modalities appropriate for individual patients. Assists LIP with procedures, performs EKG, removes sutures, cleans wounds, applies dressings, obtains specimens and cultures while labeling patients and specimens according to CH policy. References policies and procedures to assure Capital Health best practices are followed./liliAdministers medications accurately and safely. Documents patients records according to established protocol. Performs and demonstrates technical skills specific to assigned ambulatory setting. Calls in prescriptions to pharmacies under the direction of the LIP. Completes competency checklist with their preceptors./liliRecognizes important changes in patient condition and reacts appropriately in ambulatory setting; Acknowledges and includes patients family during communication with the patient, as appropriate and as designated by ambulatory patient./liliSupports principles from Capital Health core mission (quality care, compassion, dignity and comprehensive continuum of care). Seeks interpretation or understanding of the illness, pain, fear, anxiety or other stressful emotion./liliPrepares and maintains thorough, clear, and concise documentation in patients charts. Documents nursing actions, type, and effect of treatments, patient responses, and other required information./liliPerforms Quality Assurance (QA) activities as defined by ambulatory setting. Documents quality control for waived testing and sterilization of instruments as required according to established policies and procedures; Oversees other quality and regulatory initiatives documentation takes appropriate action to remedy any discrepancies./liliPossesses a willingness to adapt to changing department demands. Demonstrates willingness to assist co-workers during periods of heightened patient care activity./liliPerforms other duties as assigned and may be assigned to other Capital Health Medical Group Practices as needed./li/ulh3Minimum Requirements/h3ulliAssociates degree or graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred. NJ or PA license based on primary state office location or multi-state compact license required. Must have applied for second out of state RN license (NJ or PA) within three months from date of hire.
