Software Developer (Hadoop)

Location: Alpharetta, GA. Department: Development Design, implement and deploy custom applications on Hadoop. Troubleshoot production issues with Hadoop/ NoSQL. Performance tuning of a Hadoop/ NoSQL environment. Design, implement and deploy ETL to load data into Hadoop/ NoSQL. Load from disparate data sets. Pre-process using Hive and Pig. Design, build, install, configure, and support Hadoop. Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed design. Perform analysis of vast data stores and uncover insights. Maintain security and data privacy. Create scalable and high-performance web services for data tracking. High-speed querying. Manage and deploy HBase. As part of a POC effort help to build new Hadoop clusters. Test prototypes and oversee handover to operational teams. Work with Teradata, Sqoop, Jira, Rally, UC4 - Scheduling tool, Oracle, Python Jyupter Notebook, Shell Scripting, kafka, Visio, DBeaver, MySQL Workbench, Toad data point, GitHub, Pyspark SQL Requirements: Master’s degree in Computer Science or Equivalent.
