Position Overview:This position will report to the Director of Infrastructure Engineering to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure code and CI/CD pipelines. This role will focus on automation, infrastructure as code, and continuous delivery using modern DevOps tools and practices.Responsibilities:Collaborate with development, security, and infrastructure teams to support Business initiativesDeploy and manage applications in Amazon Web Services environmentsDesign and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub ActionsBuild and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS CloudFormationDevelop automation scripts and tools using like Python and BashCost estimates of AWS AI related servicesImplement infrastructure as code (IaC) best practices for repeatable and version-controlled deploymentsEnsure security and compliance through IAM roles, policies and best practicesFollow proper governance set forth by HomeServe Cloud and Security teamsTroubleshoot and resolve issues across development, staging, and production environmentsAdhere to organizational governance, security, and compliance standards, ensuring all cloud resources and pipelines align with established policies, audit requirements, and best practicesMaintain the Cloud team's standards in all areas of the HomeServe Cloud InfrastructureBuild and maintain tools to manage deployment activitiesEnsure exceptional documentation and communication of processes, procedures, and efficienciesDesign, deploy, and safeguard AWS cloud systems applications to ensure both reliability and securityEssential Functions:Essential Job Function% of Time on FunctionManaging Cloud environment10%Design and Project work for cloud environment35%Scripting and Automation40%Documentation15%Total 100%Job Requirements:Ability to take project/business requirements and build a cloud solution that adheres to HomeServe's Network, Security and Governance standardsStrong understanding of cloud architecture, scalability, high availability, and fault toleranceProven experience with cloud cost managementExposure to AWS AI related servicesSolid understanding of Cloud Security servicesMaintain the Cloud team's standard environments and servicesImplement automation solutions while developing new efficiencies and improvements3+ years of experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering roleHands-on experience with Amazon Web Services such as but not limited to (EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM, VPC, Bedrock, Containers, SQS)Strong experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub ActionsProficiency in Infrastructure as Code using AWS CloudFormationStrong scripting/programming skills in PythonExperience with version control systems (Git-based workflows)Ensure exceptional documentation and communication of processes, procedures, and efficienciesFamiliarity with Linux/Unix systems and shell scriptingDatadog experience is a plus.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environmentEffective communication skills (technical and non-technical)Self-motivated with a focus on continuous improvementMinimum Physical Requirements:The physical demands described represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
