If you are passionate about your work and enjoy a collaborative environment, get in touch!Responsibilities of the Transportation Engineer include:Oversite of teams conducting work on transportation projects, including roadway design, traffic operations, roadway design, transportation planning, and environmental assessments.Managing the preparation of engineering reports, plans, and specifications for various projectsReviewing preliminary and final plans, technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates, making necessary recommendations for modificationsParticipating in contract bidding and administration as neededSupervising and observing project design and progress, coordinating with City, State, and County officials and other agenciesSupervising junior engineers and technical support personnelCoordinating projects with clients, contractors, outside consultants, and firm staffCommunicating and interacting with project team members, client representatives, review agencies, and others as appropriateResolving complex problems, such as conflicting design requirements and difficult coordination requirementsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology2+ years of experience in the transportation industryE.I.T. or P.E. certification is requiredDemonstrated working knowledge of software systems: HCS, SYNCHRO, SIDRA, CORSIM, VISSIM, CUBE, TransCAD, MicroStation, Microsoft OfficeExperience with DOT projectsContact Chris Albano at chris.albano@gogpac.com for more information.If you are an experienced Transportation Engineer looking for an exciting new opportunity, apply today!
