Beautification Supervisor
Job Description
Salary: $20-25 / hourlyThe Beautification Supervisor will prioritize the beautification of the City, focusing on litter abatement, groundskeeping, and greenspace maintenance. This position is responsible for the upkeep of various City properties and parks, ensuring grounds are properly maintained with facilities that are clean and functional.SPECIFIC TASKS, DUTIES, & RESPONSIBILITIESScheduling and direct supervision of all beautification crew members/volunteersMaintain a safe, efficient work environmentProvide excellent customer service to the publicManages/directs Beautification plan based upon City expectationCreates a weekly work site schedule/modifies as need due to inclement weatherPrioritizes work schedule according to city wide special eventsOversees setup of parade barricades and special event setup when neededIdentifies when maintenance of heavy equipment is dueCommunicates expectations and safety procedures when working near public roadsOperate large trucks/trailers combinations hauling equipment on various terrainAbility to safely operate zero-turn mowers, trimmers, chain saws, and other various landscaping/maintenance equipmentAll other duties as assignedWORKER REQUIREMENTS(education, certifications, experience, etc.)High School diploma or GED requiredValid drivers license requiredAbility to work in a team environmentAble to comprehend, retain, and carry out instructions, as well as anticipate logisticsAble to multitaskSound knowledge of safety measures and risk management strategiesOrganizational and time management skillsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONSCapable of performing physical labor, some of which can be demandingAble to constantly stand, walk, bend, and reach for items (may be repetitive motions)Able to lift, push/pull a weight of up to 50lbs+Withstand exposure variable temperatures (including extreme hot/cold)Perform job around various elements (i.e., animals, dust, and allergens)HOURS/SCHEDULINGHours TBD up to 34 hours per week.
