Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, diagnostic evaluation techniques, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, particularly within a Level II trauma center.
Duties
Perform diagnostic radiology procedures including X-rays and CT scans with precision and care.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging results.
Maintain knowledge of medical terminology and apply it effectively during patient interactions.
Conduct sonography procedures as needed, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process.
Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infection during imaging procedures.
Assist in emergency medicine situations by providing timely and accurate imaging support.
Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and functioning correctly before use.
Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) is required; additional certifications in CT or Sonography are preferred.
Strong knowledge of diagnostic evaluation processes and physiology related to imaging techniques.
Experience working in a Level II trauma center is highly desirable.
Proficient understanding of medical terminology relevant to radiology practices.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction and documentation.
