Job DescriptionJob Overview of Residential Overnight Supervisor/AdministratorThe Overnight Supervisor supervises the Night Direct Care staff. The Overnight Supervisor provides leadership and has overall responsibility for the treatment, care, and supervision of all residents during the overnight shift. The Overnight Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and development of all full time and per diem Milieu Therapists who work overnight. The Overnight Supervisor is responsible to assess the needs of individual residents and of groups of residents, and to plan for appropriate supervision so their overnights are safe, structured, and therapeutic. The Overnight Supervisor coordinates with fellow managers, agency administrators, and with the administrator on duty (AOD) to ensure the consistent, structured, and safe treatment of all residents.Schedule of Residential Overnight Supervisor/Administrator: Sunday thru Thursday from 10:00pm until 7:00amEssential Duties Of Residential Overnight Supervisor/AdministratorKey duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:Use the Detex system to consistently monitor night staff performance with scanning, and provide feedback as needed to keep this consistent, and produce reports from the system. Assuring that staff provide children with age and level-appropriate supervision at all times, and attend to any physical health or hygiene needsAssures a safe working environment by following procedures for security; keeping areas neat and clean; and ensuring repairs and replacements of equipment as neededAssuring that Night Support staff fill the vans’ gas tanks, and transport vans to the school area for trips. Assuring that night staff enact the program schedule as written and on timeUsing all techniques of TCI to prevent triggering, to intervene early to prevent escalation to crisis, for safe management of any crisis that does arise, and for assuring safety and learning after any crisis. This includes becoming skilled in LSIs and conflict resolutions, and conducting them for even minor conflicts, to minimize the occurrence of larger conflicts. Take an active role in supervising staff: identifies and works on building skills, addressing weaknesses, and recognizing successTrain and orient new staff on all job tasks and responsibilitiesFacilitate team meetings and 1:1 supervisions on consistent basis. Essential Qualifications Of Residential Overnight Supervisor/AdministratorKey qualifications include:Master’s Degree: 3 years direct care w/children, 2 years administrative/supervisory OR Bachelor’s Degree: 5 years direct care w/children, 2 years administrative/supervisory OR Associates Degree: 6 years direct care w/children, 3 years administrative/supervisory OR High School Diploma or GED: 7 years direct care w/children, 3 years administrative/supervisory experience.
