Aerial Adventure Park Guide
Catamount's Aerial Adventure Park Monitors are the eyes and ears of the park. Their primary responsibility is to provide assistance and guidance to guests while communicating directly and clearly. The interaction between guests and park monitors support the goal that guests have an enjoyable and memorable experience.Essential Duties/ResponsibilitiesGreet and communicate with guests with a friendly disposition and professional demeanorHarness guests as well as deliver instructional safety briefings and gear demonstrationsProvide regular presentations to groups throughout the dayEnsure guests, with instruction, are able to access age/skill appropriate coursesObserve and assist guests as they maneuver throughout the parkProvide guests with general park information and direction as neededCheck, process, and maintain park equipmentAssist with daily safety course inspections, park grounds maintenance and course maintenance as neededMaintain the highest quality standards of performanceSuccessfully complete the orientation and training periodPerform assists for guests on the courses as neededThe following levels dictate the type of assistance that can be performed by each monitor:Monitors Level 1 must provide verbal assistsMonitors Level 2 able to perform physical and standard assistsMonitors Level 2T able to perform tandem assistsOther additional duties as assigned.Qualifications18+ years of ageCPR/First Aid certificationPass criminal history and sexual offender registry background checksBe able to lift 50 pounds and comfortable working at heights up to 50 feet preferredRegular weekend availability; ideally will also have flexible weekday availability and be able to commit to the full seasonComfortable with public speaking and possess strong communication skills with a kind, patient approach to working with peopleReliable with strong work ethics, personal integrity, extreme dedication to safety, and attention to detailPassion for working outdoors and comfortable working in all weather conditionsAble to quickly and competently learn new skill sets both in training and on the jobAble to pass drug test because this is a drug-free workplaceClimbing experience preferred, but not requiredPhysical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job in all weather conditions, must be able to:Walk on uneven terrain for 1/2 mileStand for an extended period of timeFrequently reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; handle and grasp tools and equipmentSpend a significant amount of time looking up and have good depth perception
