Senior Engineering Group LeaderMedical Diagnostics | Leadership + NPI + LabVIEWX4 Life Sciences are partnering with a leading medical diagnostics company to hire a Senior Engineering Group Leader to drive the development and scale-up of next-generation diagnostic instrumentation.This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for someone who not only understands complex product development, but can also establish and navigate an operational manufacturing line to mass produce instrumentation successfully.What You’ll Be Doing:Lead multi-program engineering and product development activitiesSet up and support an operational production line for instrument mass manufacturingDrive fixture development and manufacturing readiness initiativesLead engineering teams across development, transfer, and operational activitiesOversee New Product Introduction (NPI) and product transfer into manufacturingEnsure consistent technology integration and architecture standards across programmesConduct design reviews focused on safety, reliability, manufacturability, and cosCoordinate cross-functional engineering teams through all stages of developmentSupport continuous improvement, serviceability, and scalability initiativesMust-Have Experience:Strong hands-on LabVIEW experience (essential)Proven NPI experience and understanding of product transfer into operations/manufacturingExperience setting up operational/manufacturing lines for instrument productionStrong understanding of fixture development and engineering operationsExperience leading engineering teams in regulated environmentsBachelor’s degree with 15+ years’ experience OR Master’s degree with 10+ years’ experienceFamiliarity with quality systems and regulations applicable to medical devices e.g FDA/ISO13485This role is ideal for someone who can bridge the gap between R&D and operations — taking innovative instruments from development through to scalable manufacturing.Apply directly here and send your resume to o.archer@x4lifesciences.com
